Privacy policy
Last updated: October 2026
FM TecHub (fmtechub.com) is a free learning website. We keep data collection to a minimum.
In short
- You don’t need an account, and we don’t sell or share your personal information.
- The tools run in your own browser, so what you type into them stays on your device.
- If you use the AI assistant or email us, we only receive what you choose to send.
What we collect
- No accounts. You can use every page, note and tool without signing up.
- Emails and the contact form. If you write to us or use the contact form, we receive your name, email address and message. The form delivers your message to our inbox; the website does not keep a copy. We use these details only to reply to you.
- Email updates. If you sign up for email updates, we receive your email address and use it only to send those updates. Every email has an unsubscribe link, or you can ask us to remove you at any time.
- Certificates. When you make an FM TecHub certificate, we save the name you type, the course, the date, your score and the certificate code in our certificate register. This lets anyone, such as an employer, check that your certificate is genuine at fmtechub.com/verify. We keep it so the certificate can always be checked. Contact us if you want it removed.
- AI assistant (“Ask FM AI”). Questions you type are sent to our AI service so it can answer. Please don’t enter personal or sensitive information. Questions are used only to give you an answer.
Tools run on your device
The subnet calculator, password and hash tools, ciphers and other tools work in your browser. What you enter isn’t sent to us.
Stored in your browser
We store a few small settings in your browser’s local storage:
- your theme choice;
- your challenge progress, quiz best scores and the notes you mark as done;
- your current AI chat (cleared when you close the tab).
You can clear these at any time in your browser settings.
Visitor statistics
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits and see which pages are popular, so we know what to write next. It does not use cookies, does not track you across other websites and does not identify you personally. It records general information such as the page visited, the type of browser and device, the country and how fast the page loaded.
Cookies
We don't use advertising or tracking cookies. If this changes, for example if we add ads, we'll update this page first.
Children
FM TecHub is a general learning site. We don’t knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Your rights
You can ask us to see, correct or delete any personal information you’ve sent us, such as an email. Contact us and we will respond within a reasonable time.
Data retention
We keep emails only as long as we need them to deal with your message. Certificate records are kept so certificates can always be checked, until you ask us to remove them.
External links
Some pages link to other websites. We aren’t responsible for their content or privacy practices.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows the latest version.
